Input Data for the Models

A critical step in model development is the analysis of variables or factors that influence the spread of disease. For vector-borne diseases, this also links to factors that influence the life cycle or life span of the vector itself. For example, ambient temperature and rainfall can affect vector breeding, and these factors can then be used as input features to the models.

The table below lists the datasets that can be utilised as input features to vector-borne disease forecasting models:

Epidemiological Data

Captures recent trend of reported cases and can be used as lagged features to the model.
